Reclaimed teak performs better in long-service dining applications than new-growth alternatives: the old-growth timber used in our pieces has tighter growth rings and higher natural oil content, resists moisture penetration, and doesn’t move dimensionally through seasonal humidity changes, so it doesn’t require the protective treatments that softwood and plantation teak need to remain serviceable outdoors. Every table is built to mortise-and-tenon joinery standards and finished to 240-grit before the final coat.
