Clover Bowl

No two of these will ever come out the same. The rim ripples out into an uneven, leaf-like shape rather than a clean circle, which is less a design decision than a consequence of how it’s made: each Clover Bowl is carved from a single irregular piece of reclaimed teak, the kind of offcut or root section that can’t be milled into a flat board for a tabletop or a leg. The carving follows whatever shape that piece of wood already had.

It comes in two sizes, both 15 cm deep: S at 37 x 37 cm and M at 45 x 45 cm. The Natural finish leaves the surface close to the wood’s raw color, so the grain, the occasional knot, and the natural color shift across the piece stay visible rather than getting evened out.

Made from the pieces the furniture line can’t use

It’s the same reclaimed teak behind the rest of our collection, just at the other end of the material. A demolished structure or a decommissioned boat doesn’t yield only straight, millable boards, and the irregular offcuts and root sections that come out of that process are exactly what a piece like this is carved from.
