Lume Lantern

Dozens of thin teak slats stand vertically around a square frame, gapped just enough that light moves through the sides instead of staying trapped behind solid panels. At 45.5 cm tall, it reads as a small tower more than a tabletop candle holder, with a perforated metal plate set into the top and a small turned knob for lifting it off to place a candle inside.

The slat construction is the same joinery language you’ll see across our fluted pedestal tables, just turned vertical and opened up rather than closed into a solid column. Finished in Natural, the teak stays close to its raw tone, and the gaps between slats change how much light escapes depending on how a candle is set inside.

Built from the same reclaimed teak

Each slat comes from the same reclaimed teak behind the rest of our indoor and outdoor collection: timber recovered from demolished structures and decommissioned boats rather than cut new for this piece. A lantern this size uses far less material than a dining table, but it’s cut and finished from the same source, not a separate cheaper stock.
